PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING A WALK
For our scheduled walks, we meet beside the front entrance of the Londis Supermarket in the centre of Kinvara, to depart for our walk at 10.00am sharp. Walkers will use their own transport to get to the start point of the walk, normally a 7-10 km drive (unfortunately we cannot provide transport for any walkers).
Hill Walking is an adventure activity that, by its nature, carries a level of risk. Participants on our walk agree that they are responsibility for their own safety and further agree that they will behave in a responsible manner at all times and will not put themselves or other walkers at risk by any deed or action. They further agree to follow the instructions of the walk leader/guide at all times.
Participants must have a level of fitness that will enable them to complete the relevant walk. Weather conditions on the west coast of Ireland can change very quickly – we get lots of rain and wind! Proper hiking clothing is essential, including warm clothes (multiple layers are best) and a waterproof jacket/pull-ups – check the weather forcast in advance. We will be walking mostly on uneven and rough surfaces. Good walking boots are essential, both to give good grip and to protect and support your feet and ankles.
As our walks take 3 or more hours to complete, walkers should bring sufficient liquids and refreshments – we will take breaks along the way.
Participants also undertake not to cause any damage to landowners’ property and fences when walking on other persons’ property. Dogs are not permitted on our walks.
Numbers are limited on each walk, so advance booking is recommended.
Extra walks may be added at busy times – e.g. holiday weekends – check the Walks section of the site for up-to-date information and for a full list of all our walks and to make bookings.
